| ARTIST STATEMENT |
|
|
A room’s interior and the couch have become contemplative structures. I find interest in the context of the couch: the ambiguous interior or the floating, ethereal cushions. Strange marks or objects melt into and punctuate the surface to create a peculiar setting or archaeological site of confused artifacts. Distorted windows illicit a glimpse at an indiscernible exterior.
