| ARTIST STATEMENT |

| When I create a sculpture to communicate an idea or a feeling, I also find myself expressing the character of the material as well...be it bronze whose molten liquid flows into caviities or sheet steel that can be sheared and bent. The use of different material is both exciting and challenging. Exploring materials leads to new forms and directions and a greater range of expression. |
