BIOGRAPHY

I was born and raised in a real down home country environment. This I believe heightened my ability to perceive distorted realities and abstract waking life to suit my need for things that were unavailable to me. Since this drive for creating my own world was accomplished, I had my creative mind exploded by a very influential artist/teacher, and have since been trying to piece this knowledge together in an intelligent manner.

I currently am a student of fine art in San Francisco California, at the Academy of Art with a focus in drawing and painting. During my free time I make art. During class I make art. In between class assignments I make art....etc

During this developmental period I am in, I have also been aiming on training my business etiquette and presenting myself in a more professional manner in hopes to gain further insight and mannerisms for opening my creations to the world around me.

hey thanks for your comment, those are two of my favorite pieces as well and really represent the direction I am taking my work in recently. as far as the nude portraits I think that the composition is centered on the nakedness of the model. You'll notice that there is no environment but a blank background in which the figures exist. Initially I wished to present the nude figure as honestly as possible, so as to allow the viewer to make their own assumptions and judgements of the models and thereby learn something about their own preconceptions. Without clothing or context the viewer projects meaning onto the subject of the painting. I notice that the figures in your paintings (not your figure drawings, which are beautiful studies), act more as characters, even though they are nude. The environments in which you place them activate their presence, making it appear as though they are participating in some way as narrative elements that exist within the world of the painting. Is this how you view them? .
