BIOGRAPHY

I grew up in Carbondale, Illinois, a small college town in the southern part of the state. Let me tell you, it's not Chicago down there. I have had an interest in creating art my entire life. Whether using pens and pencils, pastels or paints, a passion for the creative element has been evolving inside of me for many years. I have been active in photography for many years as well. I feel my unique style flows between the two art forms and defines me as an individual.

I currently live in South Carolina and am employed full time as a landscape architect for a design build firm. I am actively involved in and manage the design and construction of several projects at a time. Our focus is on community design and development from concept to completion. It's much more complicated than that, but I won't bore you here. As you can imagine, this takes most of my time and energy during the day. The free time I do manage to find after work and on the weekends I am busily working on the paintings and photography you see on this website. This is my true passion. This is what I hope to do full time some day.

Recently, I have become more settled in my life and have been able to take painting and photography more seriously. Right now, I am trying to learn everything I can. What you see here is an effort to perfect my style and abilities and create art works people can appreciate and enjoy. I have not shown my work in any galleries and very few people know who I am. This is what I am trying to change. As time allows I add completed pieces to this site hoping someone will take an interest. I suppose that is why you are reading this, because you took an interest. I thank you for that.
