BIOGRAPHY
Alice Gates (born 1977) graduated in 1999 from Edinburgh University. She then went on to study figurative painting in Florence, Italy before ending up at the City and Guilds of London Art School doing a Masters in Fine Art.
She has had solo exhibitions in London (Hutson Gallery, Picadilly (2004) and J&M Davidson Gallery, Notting Hill (2006)) as well as Dublin (SeaGreen, Monkstown, 2006) and Florence. She has also had group shows in London, Bristol, Rome and Perth, Western Australia.
Her work is currently stocked at J&M Davidson (Ledbury Road) and Austique (Kings Road) in London, as well as at SeaGreen in Dublin (Monkstown). She has permanent commissions on view at APCOUK (Covent Garden) and the City and Guilds of London Art School Gallery as well as the Royal Courts of Justice, Belfast.

¾Ãââs paintings have been part of Television documentaries (Braveheart ÃÆÃâÃâÃÂ¢ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Ã
¡ÃâÃÂ¬ÃÆÃ¢Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Å Atlantic Productions) and she collaborates with the fashion label Libelula with the production of their prints.
She has had numerous articles about her work and collaborations, which have appeared in the Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Vogue, vogue.com, Tatler, First Magazine and Image Magazine.
She is to have an exciting exhibition of new work with Daisy de Villeneuve at the prestigious gallery Eleven, which is owned by Charlie Philips and run by Laura Parker Bowles, in March 2008.
