BIOGRAPHY
Laura Moriarty is a visual artist who works at the boundary of painting and sculpture. Her work is exhibited widely throughout the United States, as well as in Canada and Europe. Laura has been artist in residence at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, the Frans Masereel Centre in Belgium, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and the University of Dallas, among others. Awards and honors include a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant, as well as grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Crafts Alliance of New York State. Based in the Hudson River Valley of New York, Laura has long standing affiliations with the Women's Studio Workshop and R&F Handmade Paints, where she currently works as the gallery director.
