BIOGRAPHY
Amanda Pampena graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of Colorado Denver. Her animal companions act as models for her work, these including cats, dogs, and leopard geckos. She also uses farm animals and other wildlife as subjects. Pampena keeps an extensive collection of pictures of other people’s animal companions, along with stuffed animals, toys, trading cards, and knickknacks that inspire her art. Her influences include Theophile Steinlen and Egon Schiele. Pampena has studied under such professors as Mary K. Connelly and Stefan Kleinschuster. She has shown in galleries including Emmanuel Gallery in Denver, CO and West Nebraska Arts Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
