BIOGRAPHY
Danny Malboeuf is a self-taught artist from North Carolina, USA. Working mainly in acrylics, he describes his style as a synthesis of surrealist and Pre-Raphaelite sensibilities. Music and literature are the greatest influence on his work. Artistic influences include the painters Arnold Böecklin, John Martin, Ferdinand Khnophff, and Léon Frédéric. In the past twenty years, Danny Malboeuf has exhibited his work in numerous joint and one-man exhibitions, including shows at the Huntington Museum of Art and the University of North Carolina. His paintings can be found in private collections in Europe, America, and Asia. A selection of his work can currently be seen at QUEEN'S GALLERY in Charlotte N.C. He works primarily with acrylics on canvas.
