BIOGRAPHY
Erin McIntosh received her MFA in Drawing and Painting from The University of Georgia, where she also holds BFAs in both Art Education and Drawing and Painting . She has been the recipient of numerous
academic awards and her work can be found in private collections across the country.
Erin's artistic practice is a weaving of studio work and teaching. Her abstract paintings and drawings are non-representational yet figurative in presence, drawing upon organic and architectural forms
and structures. She has had a range of teaching experiences including teaching art in public schools in the U.S., Ireland, and Italy; The Georgia Museum of Art; public art programs in Atlanta; and for The University of Georgia. Currently, Erin is teaching art classes in Athens, Georgia at Blue Tin Art Studio, a studio and educational space which she co-founded in 2009. She will be professor of Art Education and Drawing on the UGA Study Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy in spring 2010.
Her work has been exhibited regionally and nationally. She is currently represented by Gregg Irby Fine Art in Atlanta, GA.
