Matteo Zacchino is an artist of many resources and technical skills. Multi layered acrylic paint seems to be his favorite media for his often mystic landscape-like sub-worlds. There, his whimsical subjects start taking a life of their own with a precise and detailed pencil work. To better accentuate his creations he patiently applies small detailed shapes and shadows with the help of various fine paintbrushes, adding to the painting whats defined as his personal style. If art is described as anything that makes the viewer feel, then Matteo s work serves to extend the definition. His artwork is always intense, the subjects take a deep thoughtful and balanced position in the space available. His work also plays on familiar subjects like everyday objects, statues, vases, candles, flowers, hidden symbols and nudity.
