BIOGRAPHY
My passion for horses and creating art began as a young girl in Pennsylvania.
At around age six, I experienced an event that changed my life. I rode a pony at the
Philadelphia Zoo. Those five minutes began a life-long need to know these amazing creatures. Throughout my childhood, I spent most of my time drawing, riding or learning about horses. And over the past 19 years, I enjoyed the companionship of a very special horse named Rose who taught me patience, calmed me and inspired much of my work.
While studying art in college, I found a unique way to show the human form. I began to create abstract artwork where one sketch began and another ended. This began a long series of abstract figurative work that branched out into the equine form as well.
My higher education began with an Associates Degree in Equine Science from
Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
In 1999, I earned a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (Communication Design/Illustration) at Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
I work primarily in pastel, watercolor and acrylic.
In 2006, I joined the Equine Art Guild and began actively showing my figurative and equine artwork.
Currently, I reside in Clifton New Jersey with my husband, new son and my dog.
