I was born and raised in the city. Since my childhood I felt the city is made of urban tracks connecting different points: house, daycare, work, friends. Each street had a spatial function and I chose a track within it according to my objective.
My works, even the early ones, expressed a dialogue with space, with open places in which random tracks and human interaction integrate. I aspire to capture the individual in his own scenery and unveil the way he relates to it.
In these current works I explore conflicts and different balances of powers. I cross the city while capturing the movement of the lines which break through the urban boundaries and draw new horizons in it. The material seems heavy and sealed. The relationships are reciprocal with a personal touch, Russian constructivist influence, exaggerated grayness, and a layer of concrete or blocked labyrinth.
