BIOGRAPHY
Turnbull studied at Adelaide Central School of Art and regularly exhibits in South Australia. This year she was awarded the Cibo Espresso Emerging Artist Prize and was included in "Curvy 4", a book featuring female illustrators & designers.
In 2006 she was the inaugural recipient of the Ed Tweddell Studio at Central Studios and had a solo exhibition 'Sons & Brothers' in the South Australian Living Artists Festival.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I have painted a boy figure for the past few years, gradually a second boy has emerged. Some people call them brothers, but they are more like opposite sides of a coin - when one is up the other is facing down.
In white shirts and hats they think of the future..
