BIOGRAPHY
Satyakam Saha was born in Bhagalpur (India). He got his under-graduate degree in Architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture , New Delhi in 1996. As a registered Architect he was instrumental in the formation of a multifaceted design firm called - Ampersand. From 06/1996 - 03/2000, he was involved in different projects of varied nature; from Graphic design to Urban design. He first began to paint in 1997. This led to few exhibitions in New Delhi.
In the spring/2000, a trip to New York led him to join the ‘ New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture' from 09.2000 - 05.2003. After School he was employed (part-time) as a studio assistant to Mimi Gross (artist lives and works in NYC). In the last few years he has been involved with different artists/projects crossing over multi-disciplinary fields and ideas. Presently, he is employed at ‘The Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation', NYC.
