BIOGRAPHY
Heather Horton was born in Burlington, Ontario,
Canada in 1974. She attended McMaster
University in Hamilton, Ontario and then went
on to graduate from the highly regarded
Interpretive Illustration program at Sheridan
College in Oakville,Ontario.
Heather has been elected into the Ontario Society
of Artists. She was elected into The Federation of
Canadian Artists in 2003 and the Society of
Canadian Artists in 2002.
Heather's work can be found in private and
corporate collections in Canada, The United
States, Germany and The United Kingdom.
eather has been featured on The Artist's Life, a program focusing on the creative
process of artists. It was broadcast on Bravo! Canada Channel. Other artists profiled in the past
include David Blackwood, Ken Danby and Dorothy Knowles.
Heather is passionate about animals, animal rights and veganism, literature, enjoys films
and experiencing nature and the outdoors. She loves to travel and has visited Alaska,
Newfoundland and Virginia this summer. While on her travels Heather will study the landscape
and the people of Newfoundland and Alaska and will create a body of work chronicling her
experiences there.
