BIOGRAPHY
My work spans various media, primarily rooted in photography.
As a female artist with narcolepsy, I am fascinated by the border between awake and dreaming. Duality and opposites are often the focus of my work, and concepts of time, perception, openness and social interaction fascinate me. Before developing the sleeping disorder, I had strong academic interest in pursuing a career in electrical or computer engineering, as well as more than a passing interest in space-time theories, all of which reflects in how I approach and create my work. My childhood was change, and travel, with our home shifting four times before age 16 in order to accomodate my father's work with Ontario Hydro (now Hydro One). I was fortunate to be introduced to computers at an early age, and had the opportunity to experiment and explore Adobe Photoshop and Premiere from 1998 before transitioning to pursuing photography and the visual arts as a career in 2002.
I currently reside in Barrie, Ontario, where I attend Georgian College striving toward my diploma in Digital Photography and Imaging as a preface to earning my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts.
