BIOGRAPHY

A Southern Calif. native, John F. Metcalf has been creating art for more than 20 years. Self taught, Metcalf's paintings are subtle and intuitive nonrepresentational abstract art. His work can be found in many private collections across the United States and Europe. Currently, John Metcalf lives with his wife in Austin, TX.

Johnthe soft edges on the intense colors are magical. They really mess with the vision a lot. Refocusing and scanning between the hard edge interior and soft edge exterior. Like bones and flesh, it works well and holds the structure together. Nicely done. an artist friend// Ron Peat .
