BIOGRAPHY
As one of London's emerging young 'psychedelic' artists in the late 60's, David designed images for posters, record covers, furniture, and walls. A celebrated example of his art was the main wall at Francoise nightclub in The Kings Rd, Chelsea, one of swinging London's most popular haunts. Using a digital palette David has recently created a modern portfolio and has sold works in London, USA and Australia. Was asked to join the Saatchi gallery after they saw his website quinkermarine.com He currently has collections in Japan, America, Australia and Europe and is once again gathering a reputation for the crisp clean execution of his work and the brilliant uplifting colours.
"For me these images are a celebration of the visionary spirit of the 60s, which for some were all about exploration, search and mystery of the great universe inside and outside us. I see no reason to discontinue the voyage in the 21st Century, in fact one could almost say the alarming nature of humanity's current unrest demands it. I hope the intrigue and fascination which accompanied the creation of these works is enjoyed by those who visit them."
