BIOGRAPHY

I grew up in eastern Canada and attended York University in Toronto where I received my B.F.A. with Honours. After graduation I decided to take some time to experience the ‘real world’. My following three years were spent working for minimum wage in order to earn enough money to hop on another plane to spend time in foreign countries. I learned so much those few years, I learned that my art is not solely the paintings that I create but it is also the life that I live, and I learned that I am always in need of improving my skill as a painter.

I eventually had had enough of working for minimum wage, and traveling on pennies. I decided that I needed to further my craft, improve my skill and develop my mind. I needed more education. Three years after I graduated from York University I had painted an entirely new series of paintings, hoping that they were, at the very least, good enough to be accepted by the Academy of Art University’s Masters program in San Francisco. When I had heard the news that I had been accepted I was vacationing in Thailand and the overwhelming euphoria was the perfect end for my trip. It was the perfect ending (or beginning) to a wonderful adventure.

I am at this time a Graduate of the Academy. I am currently living in Montreal, Canada. A most beautiful and inspiring city.

Excellent work! Love the sweet things (Thiebaud rocks!) and the sunglasses and heads - actually, ALL your work! Good luck in grad school and keep me on your future mail list for shows! .

Hi Gaetanne! Wow thank you, it is more stumbling in to things then a process, i work from photos that i have taken, of artist friends that are willing to pose. trying to get that candid moment. the drawings are from photos also, but i use a hundred year old drawing tool, a camera lucida. Keep me posted on any new work and/or showings. i would love it if some day i could check out the real thing! a. .
