Biography
1.1.1971 Born in Israel, grow up in Nahariya by the sea.
I draw story boards and make small paper furniture for my dolls.
1982 First time in America. Everything is too big. But I adore the cartoons.
1984-1988 Small trips to Europe make me want to live in Spain, study in England, fall in love in France.
1989-1991 Army duty: I take up smoking and quit; Fall in love and quit; Go to officers' course and quit. Relief is found in music and writing.
1992 China is mysterious. I do Calligraphy, Tai chi and learn to eat with chop sticks.
1992-1996 5 expressive portraits of my lover summarize 4 years of suffering at Bezalel academy of art & design. I keep on drawing and win the first prize for Exlibris design.
1994 High from smells, sounds and colors, I wander around matter and spirit, taste it all and document it on 18 films. Remembering sweet words from the Monastery, I swear to return to India.
1996-1997 Following love to South America leads me to distant jungles; language studies; weeks on a hammock on the Amazons; the Carnival. Green Cactus potion changes my perception for eight hours. After 3 months in an Israeli-Peruan-project, I present my first solo photography exhibition.
1997-2002 Intensive work as an art director at various advertising Houses – pays my monthly rent in Tel Aviv and my irresistible passion for traveling. I discover Paper Mache.
2003-2004 Nothing like swimming with dolphins in New Zealand; diving in Thailand; wandering in lost poppy fields in Laos; Climbing the Himalaya to Anaporna peak until I gasp for air. I go home to catch a breath.
2004 Moving to the country side; I raise a dog.
My first book: a collection of dreams and pictures of my Paper Mache sculptures is published.
2005 I complete a degree in Psychology and Communication and start Sculpting with concrete; DreamMache installation opens at the Farm Gallery, Holon.
Other wind exhibition opens at Ha-Moshavim Gallery, Tel-Aviv.
2006 A fulfilling year at Hamidrasha ends with night bodies: installation of four 2.5 meter height concrete sculptures, and a video art.
