BIOGRAPHY
New Orleans native Rowan Metzner moved to Michigan at age 10 returning frequently to her hometown. After discovering her passion for photography during high school she attended Tulane University as a photography major. Two years later she took a one-year travel sabbatical, which included time in South East Asia and also worked as the personal band photographer for Signal Path. Returning to school she transferred to Rhode Island School of Design and recently spent a year abroad as part of the RISD European Honors Program in Rome. She received her BFA in photography then moved back to New Orleans to work as project manager for a book about the effects of Katrina on photographers as well as to pursue her own art projects.
