BIOGRAPHY
These paintings start out in varying degrees of conventionality, but at some point in their evolution they become something else.
In November of 2006 I found myself back home after 15 years in New York City. Since then I have become increasingly absorbed by nature through daily walks out back (a wooded conservation land behind my mother’s house). And it is in the unexpected character of these woods that I find inspiration as I continue to question my own definition of what a landscape painting is.
