BIOGRAPHY

Tim Holmes, artist/philosopher, is the first American ever invited to give a solo exhibit in the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, where his sculptures remain on permanent exhibition. Owned by some of the world's renowned peacemakers, his work transcends the art realm. Holmes created sculpture for the United Nations Peace Prize for Women and other international projects devoted to transformative healing. As a filmmaker he creates video sculpture using mystical poetry. His work focuses on human form, on gesture, and on the numinous moment: creating tender flesh out of metal, scribing sculptural poetry on skin, and birthing ideas to transform culture. He lives in Vienna and Montana.
