ARTIST STATEMENT
I am inspired by living, moving scenes. My intent is to capture an experience, a state of mind. Every session is a tap into unknown, a meditation and labor to reveal grace. A sense of place may be evasive, a fleeting memory.
My canvas is an open door that lures me in, my pursuit of happiness. As an old-medium painter, I stay amazed by the potency of oil paint. Oil on canvas, charcoal and dozens of brushes, pallet knives, rugs and scraping tools are my dear companions.
