Born: Binghamton, NY 1980
Lost all extra organs due to various autoimmue disease processes, but currently healthy. Thanks to the paramount generosity of a family who lost their child, I am still alive today. How do you thank someone for that?
Relocated with family to Cary, NC in 1995
Attended ECU in Greenville, NC & then PaFA in Philadelphia and returned to NC to be close to family and friends.
Recent images focus on portraiture, memory and an ever evolving visual vocabulary. I enjoy the intimacy of the portrait and seek to engage viewers in a private moment with my work and my models, to show something of the unique personality of my models without giving it all away.
Solid composition and design are instrumental to helping me articulate my message to viewers.
I also dabble in watercolor and encaustic painting. And some day i will be a real oil painter again. I make holiday ornaments too.
