BIOGRAPHY
Polly Plain was born in Fort Scott, Kansas. She was always involved in art, but had not yet discovered her passion. At age, thirty she took a workshop with water-based clay and at this point discovered her true passion for clay. This discovery took her to Lyme Fine Art Academy, Old Lyme, Connecticut to study representational art. This study included anatomy, drawing, and sculpture.
She completed her Masters of Fine Arts for Studio Arts in Sculpture at The University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma.
Polly is an award-winning artist who has exhibited in the east coast and the Midwest. She portrays the figure with humanity, gesture, and movement. The human condition is her source of inspiration.
PollyÂs has taught at Oklahoma Community College, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Maple Woods Community College, KC, MO. Polly is teaching at Maple Woods this summer.
