Susan McNulty, Artist
An emerging artist, Susan creates graphic style art in mixed media,
encaustics and wall sculptures.
Her work has a spiritual element used as a language throughout.
”Spirit Houses” are spiritually-referenced mixed media art pieces
created in stained wood, mosaics, and guilding.
Prayed and meditated over during creation, these pieces
have presence and energy which are meant as reminders
of spiritual presence within our busy lives.
She also enjoys creating art for special environments,
such as children’s rooms and related-spaces.
“Rowhouses” were the first in a series of children’s work.
The next style developed was the "Rolling Hills Townhouse" series.
Currently, Susan is developing a series of “Inside Story” Wall Sculptures
which are reminders to include spirit into our living environments.
Some of these spiritually-referenced art pieces will include “Spirit House” motifs
integrated into the wall sculpture itself.
For a decade, Susan has been drawing angels and spiritually-influenced art.
Her mother, Mary, loved and collected angels till her transition in 1998.
Susan wishes to have an honorary show of spiritual art dedicated to her mother. |

| LANCE HEADLEE |
| myartspace id:LHARTWORLD |
|
 |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Lance Headlee was raised in Colorado Springs and has
had an interest in the arts since watching his father draw
cowboys as a small child. After graduating from high school
Lance looked back at his past report cards and
realized, art was the only subject he received straight in
since grade school. So in 1980, he began studying art
full time. Headlee enrolled at Colorado Institute of Art where
he studied Advertising Design and Layout. Then
Lance moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he began studying
Fashion Design and Merchandising.
In 1984, Headlee moved to Manhattan Beach, California. Soon after,
he introduced his concept of hand painted
swimwear and cover-ups to Cole Of California and Catalina Swimwear.
In 1985 his collection of hand painted
swimwear and cover-ups sold in hundreds of stores nationwide.
Next Lance developed a novelty item
that allowed children to color their own T-shirts and wear them
instantly. Marketed under the name Art to Wear,
Kidart was distributed nationally in 1987. Beginning in 1988,
he entered the imprinted sportswear
market. Eyecatcher sportswear / Icantoo Sport printed and
marketed his resortwear designs on everything from
coffee cups to beach towels and from T-shirts to swimwear.
To the present day, Icantoo Sport has sold
over 2 million units bearing the Headlee signature. In 1999
Lance founded, designed and trademarked
a line of advanced sportswear and athletic apparel for all sports.
Soon after he fused art with
fashion once again creating and producing BaileyRae a one
of a kind line of hand painted and color
washed clothing for women and children.
For the 2001 and 2002 season Headlee was contracted to design,
merchandise and market basketball
apparel for BCI (Basketball Congress International). Although
Lance has been involved in the fashion
industry for over 15 years he has never stopped painting.
He has always had a passion for painting. His
resortwear designs and paintings are like night and day.
Lance has managed to create resortwear designs
that have mass market appeal and fine art paintings that
are truly one of a kind works of art.
Headlee has been applying paint to canvas for over 25 years.
He taught himself how to paint by studying
art styles and techniques for a hobby. For me it was a
learning experience my own way of schooling
myself, by giving myself assignments. I remember one of
my assignments was studying realism. I took
photographs of the 1st street lifeguard station in Manhattan Beach,
then I brought them home and spent a
few weeks painting what I saw. The object was to make the
paintings look exactly like the photographs, I
loved it! I was hooked. Styles like realism, impressionism,
abstracts, landscapes, portraits, modern and
imaginative were important for me to learn and understand.
I don't want to be an artist that only has one
style, that would be like a prison sentence.
The beauty of painting for me is there are no limitations.
You can always think inside the box, but thinking
outside the box is where the adventure begins. I can
let my imagination run free just like the colors that
flow off the end of my brush, they are an expression of
freedom and have no boundaries. Some of my
clients enjoy the cowboys and Indians I paint and other
collectors like my abstracts. It doesn't matter to
me, I just love to paint anything and everything.

| Hi, My name is Lynn Dobbins, and ever since I could pick up crayons and draw on the wall, I've been in love with art. My first professional show was at the tender age of four,I've exhibited in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. I now live with my two kids and two cats in the beautiful wine country of Temecula California.
Animals have also played a huge part in my choice of art subjects, Strays have been in and out of my place as long as I can remember. I started out as an equine artist painting portraits, will draw anything that walks, trots, gallops, slithers, swims or crawls. My medium of choice for the last 10 years has been pyrography, AKA woodburning a beautiful if unforgiving art medium, and one which I hope to continue to share with others., though I work in pretty much any medium available, oils, acrylics, pastels, ink,and airbrush.
I am a Proud Juried member of EBSQ Plus, and A member of I.A.P.A The International Association of Pyrographic Artists As well as Art 4 Critters a group of international artists dedicated to helping animals in need |

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| As a sculptor, I find that the materials are limitless. I work in many mediums and alter what I do in order to convey the message of my work most effectively. The common theme throughout my process is an exploration of the wasteful nature of humanity. My mixed media sculptures, dioramas, and installations contain materials that are donated, second-hand, or found. I feel it is a social reflection of our time and values when I can create sculptures and installations by using what surrounds me. I am purposely recycling to create less waste, using items that have symbolism through their prior function.
Raised on a small farm by two self-taught biologists, I was exposed to organizing and charting of information such as births and health records of animals throughout my childhood. Like my parents, I am also interested in science, but in the social sciences of psychology, culture, and anthropology. I am particularly drawn to the ability of science to organize information through categorizing and classifying; but like any other human production, science has a lifespan and becomes obsolete.
I feel that my use of found objects is a way for me to reflect this, while drawing on our human cultural anthropology and pointing out ironic patterns. Common themes in my artwork include topics of consumerism, existential emptiness, and social injustice. The iconography and content of my sculptures is biographical, but it has a large element of cultural critique that is accessible by viewers.
I begin with a photograph, conversation, or news report. I select my materials based on the condition that I am addressing and use ironic symbolism and material selection to ultimately share my own understanding of a particular phenomenon with the viewer. I use scientific methods of classification and organization by identifying situations and scenarios in sculptures and dioramas that show a visual catalog of a string of emotions regarding that particular topic.
When a situation affects me, I am compelled to invoke the same feeling in reality through my artwork; a process by which I resolve my own conflicts regarding a particular issue. I intend to evoke the same feelings in the viewer, and ultimately inspire dialogue and a new perspective on a particular cultural topic.
I enjoy sculpture and installation, because of the potential for boundless development through which a state of mind can extend to an entire room and the viewer becomes part of the work. I hope that my artwork inspires individual viewers to reflect on their quality of life, to question the values our culture places on material goods and distractions, and in turn, improve our collective culture. |

 |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Jeremy Markham is a freelance artist and photographer from Birmingham. Having developed a passion for art at an early age due to creative parents and watching the colorful robot cartoons of the late seventies, Jeremy decided to pursue a career in art. After attending and graduating from the University of North Alabama where he focused primarily on printmaking he went on to teach high school art for 2 years in Walker county before moving to Birmingham.
Markham's art reflects his love for childhood icons, live music, and inventive design. Equally influenced and inspired by such old masters as Klimt, Durer, and Dore as he is by Go Nagai, Tesla, and Doc Hammer, Jeremy takes a “whatever works best for the project” approach to creating art often combining printmaking, painting, photography, and found objects. Currently Jeremy is focusing on large scale prints based on photos taken over 10 years of attending indie/punk shows and doing work for local musicians as well. |
