IN THE MID 60’S BEVERLEY CAME TO LONDON TO CONTINUE HIS STUDIES, AT FIRST WORKING AS A DRAUGHTSMAN, BUT FOR THE LAST FEW DECADES HE HAS BEEN PAINTING FULL TIME. BEVERLEY’S STYLE DERIVES MUCH FROM HIS EXPERIENCES OF HIS NATIVE AFRICA AND HE RETURNS THERE ONCE A YEAR TO RENEW HIS INSPIRATION. INFLUENCED BY THE ART FORMS OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS MOST BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, THE ARTIST REFLECTS THIS IN HIS IDIOMATIC USE OF AN EARTHY PALETTE, EXPANSIVE COMPOSITION AND UNREFINED TEXTURE. Cesare Vignato
myartspace id:cesare
BIOGRAPHY:
Cesare Vignato, was born in 1959 surrounded by the architectural art of Vicenza, Italy, a small town in Northern Italy best known historically as the home of Palladio, the famous Renaissance architect. He currently resides in Thiene, in the province of Vicenza. Cesare’s work is the result of the artist’s experimentation with the profound symbolism that dominates the entire tangible universe. His images spring from the marriage of symbolism, metaphysics and figurative expressionism. Opposites – both contrary and complementary – team up with the use of digital imagery, canvas and oil to create images designed to provoke the senses as well as the mind. Cesare has been exhibiting his art since 1982 in both individual and collective exhibitions. His ground-breaking work in the art world has been generating interest from Strasbourg to Ginevra, from Orlando, Florida to New York City and all throughout Italy. He is currently part of the permanent collections in the Yung Museum in Revere and the Museum of Motion in Piacenza. In 1993, Tobia Rava’ included Cesare’s work in his group called Triplani. In addition to creating original and evocative pieces of art, Cesare is an accomplished percussionist as well as a teacher of both painting and percussion.

Valerie
myartspace id:vcf2001
BIOGRAPHY:
Valerie Fair Artist Statement My early painting primarily focused on the abstracted figure in a plain color field. I found that without recognizable facial features or detailed representation of clothing the abstracted figure was still full of emotional content. My later paintings referenced the lessons of childhood related by the elders of my community but retold though the eyes and ears of the children. My use of color is influenced by the primary colors that children might select for their own works and the text is generally written as a child might write. My painting within the last seven years have changed and become more abstracted as I explore biological and physic concepts, the idea that “everything is everything” and the representation of the cellular universe directly relates to the small marks which when view from a distance represent a unified whole. I have for the last four years been working concurrently with ceramics. My introduction to working with clay was to throw on the potter’s wheel and I have since begun to use thrown objects along with hand building. I have worked with the figure along with exploration of more abstracted concepts. I am currently working to complete a series of ceramic pieces that were inspired by the aftermath of the Katrina hurricane in New Orleans 2005. New Orleans has special meaning for me. My husband was born in New Orleans and we have family that was directly affected by the hurricane. Most importantly my daughter attended Xavier University in New Orleans for her undergrad degree and it was during this time that I spent a great deal of time in New Orleans and came to love the city. Five months after my daughters graduation from Xavier, Katrina hit and devastated the city.

Personal Store:http://www.nyaxe.com/RebeccaLaineGraham/
BIOGRAPHY:
Inspired by her childhood in the American deep South, Graham’s work is infused with Southern Gothic iconography, dark humor and the occasional literary reference. She transforms herself as well as artist and musician friends into characters from folklore, myth and literature that she has extensively researched in order to create an image filled with symbolism that leaves clues toward a better understanding of the inner workings of the character’s mind. With degrees in psychology (BA Psychology, Northwestern State University) and fine art (MFA Painting, Savannah College of Art and Design), Graham uses photography as a way to bring together all the mediums she loves to work with. Every image begins as a detailed drawing which is then constructed into reality with the creation of costumes and props using needle and thread, plaster and paint-- all the illusions of the theatre in order to create in instant to be captured by the click of the camera. Then begins the process of alternating layers of drawing and photographic image, scratching and distortion-- layering up to a completed image. Though she has been exiled from her beloved New Orleans since hurricane Katrina, she has used the cold long winter months of her recent home of Minneapolis, Minnesota to continue to develop her painting and photography work pursue illustration projects, and in her spare time, document the local music scene.

Jarek Creason

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is Jarek Ashlin Creason born in Riverside California and raised in Big Bear City California. I got fairly descent grades throughout grade school. After about 3rd grade my teachers started accepting the fact that I was going to draw during class whether they liked it or not, so they started supporting me which I believe allowed me to have some faith in my artistic ability. For my 7th grade and up and I moved to Newport Beach California to live with my dad. That's when my talent started booming. Because my father was a strict behemoth and had a very set pattern of rules, and because I didn't really care too much to listen I seemed to find myself grounded for months on end. During the time when I wasnt allowed to see my friends or watch TV or anything for that matter I sat at my desk and drew for hours and hours after my homework was finished. When I hit 9th grade I decided I didn't like school anymore and stopped trying. This eventually led to me failing every class but at the time I beleived I was too smart for any of them anyway. My father and I had a blowout and I moved back up to Big Bear. Because my entire 9th grade consisted of F's an my 8th grade showed strait A's the local continuation school gave me an opportunity to prove that I can do the school work and succede. After a few months I realized that I actually worked better in the schools enviroment and stayed. This also allowed me to draw during class so I took advantage. The entire staff was very supportive of my artistic ability and even MADE me enter the San Bernardino County Art contest which I was given the 1st place award in my age devision. Around that time I figured out that school was a very important part of my life and started putting effort into my work. I eventually graduated early in 2007 with all my required credits and then some. These days I'm working, trying to get into school and of course drawing. I've been delving into differnt mediums and styles as well which I hope will treat me well.

I had a well founded commercial education and I am now financial manager in an industial company with ablut 800 employees for many years. But I always missed to paint and experience with colours and different painting-techniques. A few years ago I "met" wax-images ..... and I knew : "This will be my passion" And that's it, usually now and forever. --- So, if you are interested - find my homepage and have a look at it. Painting Encaustic images is my passion (autodidactic learning) I had some successful local exhibitions in and about Braunau during the last few years. Painting with wax colours is a very exciting experience for me again and again. When I am painting, I am dreaming in colours - when I am dreaming, I want to realise my dreams in images.
