Unexpected simple moments of everything and nothing. BIOGRAPHY:
Website: www.TheMindsEyeStudio.com Anita's abstract paintings reflect subconscious images given outward expression. The initial version of each piece is created through a process similar to automatic writing in which Anita takes pencil to paper and simply allows her hand to move around the page without consciously directing what's drawn. From the swirling mass of lines that result, Anita is able to discern and accentuate clearly defined shapes and forms that create the subconscious story. The drawing is then smoothed out and perfected until the mass of lines morph into the final image to be painted. Once the image hits canvas, it is painted and re-painted top to bottom a minimum of three times in thin coats of acrylic to give it the smoother, poster-like look and depth of colour desired.

Her vibrant thoughtful paintings breath life, fun and adventure into stories and words. “I Live in the North” written by Margriet Ruurs and illustrated by Georgia Lesley, was published by Scholastic Canada in 2007. Georgia has also illustrated a number of projects, including a Vancouver based wildlife magazine, and two booklets for Lytton First Nations, funded by Health Canada. It is a gift that I am continually learning about and grateful for. In these latter years of my life, I have begun to understand and explore the responsibility of sharing this gift, to express the feelings which we all share, that unite us as one human family.” Georgia Lesley CPA Please visit my website: www.georgialesley.com

Tedd Preuss
myartspace id:preusst
BIOGRAPHY:
Ted Preuss, a self-taught photographer, was born 1962 in Colorado. For as long as he can remember, he has been taking photographs. He picked up his first camera at the age of seven and instantly became obsessed with the nature of the medium. After spending many years photographing during family vacations his passion for photography led to a career as a freelance architectural photographer for a decade in Boston and San Francisco. He decided to take a break from photography and explored the world of furniture design in Chicago. After several years he realized how much he missed photography and decided to seek it out once again, this time as an art form. However, the things that he learned about lines and shapes stayed with him and became an integral part of his art today. Another great passion in his life is 19th century art and antiques. Often he feels his soul is in this period of time. This is probably why he creates his photographs with vintage large-format cameras and explores vintage printing techniques such as hand-coated platinum-palladium. Consequently the images he captures have a warm inner beauty with a distinct vintage feel to them. His work has been featured in ZOOM Magazine, Large Format Magazine, Focus Magazine and is widely collected and exhibited around the country.

Her photographs can be found in many public and private collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Tanqueray. Selected exhibitions include The Travelling Gallery, Edinburgh, Scotland, Saatchi Gallery, Zoo Art Fair, the Royal Academy of Arts, London, United Kingdom, Minnesota Center for Photography, and Schneider Gallery, Chicago, IL. Her work has appeared in CameraArts magazine, Light & Lens: Photography in the Digital Age, and featured in the Chicago Tribune.

Ryan Vojir
myartspace id:urbanimpressionist
BIOGRAPHY:
Ryan J. Vojir [pron. 'Voy-er' (Czech) (b. 1975)] currently resides in Dallas, TX. Why focus on cityscapes? I love to travel, to see places I've never been to and meet people from all walks of life and all cultures. I love the electricity and uniqueness of the every city. And I really enjoy painting in an impressionist manner. Because when impressionist works are viewed up close they are seemingly carelessly created; yet from afar they are breathtaking. Blend these together and I have embarked on a goal to become the most prolific cityscape painter of all time. Ambitious? Hell yes! I plan to continue painting urban cityscapes for life. Here, I think you'll refreshingly find a guy with one unique and simple lifetime vision; an affinity to capture marque depictions of each particular city, (along with some frank anecdotes of my personal experiences at each locale). Previously, I went to Ohio State and Georgia Tech for design, served in the Marines, flew helicopters, and have worked in the Aerospace and Telecom Industries..and yes, bars too. Now I trespass, climb on roofs, and play chicken with cars and trains as a means to capture views of cities IN OUR TIMES. Moments that will display for generations to come what things looked like in the 21st century. All the best to you. Hope you enjoy and follow my travels and work, Ryan Vojir

Tyler Kline
myartspace id:TylerKline
BIOGRAPHY:
Visual Anthropoligist We are born into a world of artifacts not of our design, created by desires of the past. We employ these artifacts in the present as we carve out the shape of our current passions. These forces work to shape the goals of the future, and in this paradox lays the seat of our being. The materials I use reference the techniques utilized in documenting these experiences: wax, vinyl records, cameras, oils, and carbon print.

Always striving to explore new styles and new techniques to bring his ideas to life. His style is dark and moody where he aims to capture a feeling within anything that is portrayed. Recently he has taken to fashion photography, where he has done a number of shoots for the YMCA.

Toni Silber-Delerive
myartspace id:tonidesign
BIOGRAPHY:
B I O G R A P H Y: Born in Philadelphia, Toni Silber-Delerive graduated from Philadelphia College of Art with a major in painting. Her first gallery show and teaching experience was at the Northern Virginia Art Center. After moving to New Jersey, Toni continued to exhibit and found a home at the Summit Art Center where she taught for several years. An interest in graphic design developed as she came to realize that it shared many of the same elements as her paintings. Establishing herself as a graphic designer, and the rewarding career that followed working in the creative departments of major New York design studios, led Silber-Delerive to ultimately form her own marketing communications firm, ToniDesign. Today, while she still does work for selected clients, she has switched her main focus to painting. The colorful and bold aerial landscapes Toni creates show the world from a different perspective and by flattening the picture plane reduce details to strong graphic images. Working through the lens of the camera her paintings capture the moment, and let the image tell a universal story about a place or experience. The strong shadows hint at a certain time of day, at the same time creating the feeling of a familiar but distant landscape. Silber-Delerive's portrait paintings--some are individuals, some different pairings of couples, two friends or a pair of lovers, and some are family groupings--evoke a soft-focused stylized impression of the period or the persons. Juxtapositions of strong colors combine with graphic but soft-edged shapes to convey a feeling of time and place and individuality.

buni =:x
myartspace id:buni
BIOGRAPHY:
Biograpghy Since graduating in Fine Arts at Melbourne’s Monash University in 2002, Buni has been working as a full time artist in her studio in Collingwood. With various group and solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Tokyo, Buni has been featured on the New York based “Wooster Collective” web site. Founded in 2001 the Wooster Collective is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating ephemeral art placed on streets in cities around the world. Buni has been selected for the inclusion in the “Anything I Like” Arts section of acclaimed online magazine from Paper Tiger Media and her work has also appeared on the front cover of TBN magazine and Player magazine in Tokyo, and also Belle magazine, Australia. Statement Returning from Japan in December, 2006, Buni’s work explores identity and duality with a colourful aesthetic drawing on traditional and contemporary Japanese design. Utilizing a variety of materials, Buni’s work explores notions and perceptions of human identity through the use of emotionally suggestive text and imagery. The search for love, desire and companionship are evident in Buni’s work as she explores these particular aspects of the human condition. Upon today’s blending of cultures, Buni investigates how identity unveils itself, and what are some of the contributing factors. Using flowery wallpaper and gender specific clothing as core components of her work, Buni draws parallels between what is a cover for an emotional state or an expression of an identity. A soft, feminine aesthetic is a key element to Buni’s work informing the selection of materials and words. By taking emotionally charged quotes or lyrics and subversively representing them by sowing them onto the external surface of clothing, Buni is able to explore the tension between the internal experience of an emotion and its outwardly expression. Underlying the sweet, an undercurrent of cultural curiosity lends the work its sense of poetic dualism as the beautiful and the melancholic are subtly juxtaposed. Another dimension is further added to the work with the addition of the text which blends in with the carefully selected imagery.

Bryan Crump

BIOGRAPHY:
From classy family portraits to out of this world headshots, Bryan Crump can do it all. Driven by an overwhelming desire to express creativity, Bryan’s art is original and dramatic. With inspiration extracted from the world around him, the vibrant colors in a sunset could set Bryan’s heart towards a magnificent dreamscape filled with beings belonging in fairytales. Even a bowl of cold breakfast cereal might spark wonders in the mind of this artist. “I just want to inspire and leave people in wonder.” was Crump’s answer after being asked about how he wanted to be taken as an professional. Although Bryan received technical training from a variety of different establishments, including Rose State College, Northern Ok College's MMDC Program, and service in the Army, his craft is primarily self-taught. Bryan Crump’s range of talents include the simplest editing and correction to elaborate modifications, effects and illustration; his skills with a camera are limitless. “[Bryan] is so much fun to work with. As soon as you meet him you know he’s serious about his projects, but his sense of humor makes everything relaxed. He’s brilliant, there’s no other way to describe him.” Local model Lydia Nova said in response when asked about working with Crump. With over ten years experience with graphic design, Bryan is notably a dedicated artist. Having been featured on the cover of Oklahoma’s Nonzine magazine in March of 2006 and also the cover of the May 9th, 2002 Sunday edition The Los Angeles Daily News for his body painting works, Bryan Crump’s efforts to establish himself as a talented and innovative artisan have not been left unnoticed. Bryan's work is also featured in Distinctly Oklahoma magazine's Jully 2008 issue.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1960, Toussaint, of French and Mexican descent, was interested in making art at a young age. Following his parents’ expectations to make a living, he entered the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara to obtain a degree in architecture (he graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree). During this time, he was encouraged by a professor from the nearby Visual Arts Department to make art on his own. Invited to work at the open workshop at the Centro de Arte Moderno, he made prints from 1982-83 and soon after, he embarked on a series of paintings. By the mid 1980s he had forged relationships with art professionals from the center, and was soon asked to collaborate as an assistant curator at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas—his career in architecture officially replaced with art. 1995 he moved to Miami FL. Where he showed his work in several galleries and resided in Miami for 3 years then moved to Tucson where in august 2000 became a Dinnerware Art Gallery member. He has had several exhibits in different Mexican cities as well as other countries like Spain, France, Korea and the United Sates.
