 |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Evan Lockhart Borman was born and raised in a suburban sprawl in the northwest Denver metro area. Surrounded by tract houses and strip malls he was forced to make his own way armed only with his wits, a skateboard, and paint pen. It was a war against the mundane homogeneous existence of modern living.
His work deals with human sustainability, rewriting misguided histories, and the recontextualization of street art. |

 |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
| John Cichon was born in Hammond, Indiana in 1973. Living in Northwest Indiana, he grew up with the contrasting urban decay of the steel industry alongside the beauty of the Lake Michigan coastline. Nature, culture and the environment have always been latent or blatant concepts. His continual questioning of the environment around him is evident in much of his work. For example, His series of performances take natural and artificial materials and uses them as Blinds of a sort. Changing their usefulness simply by changing their context. He challenges peoples comfort zone. In Calendar from 2007, he juxtaposed staged photographs, documentation of artworks, snapshots and images from the internet to comment on the nature of representation and the way we associate meaning in and between images. In addition to performance and photography he utilizes such mediums as sculpture, drawing and collage to best execute his ideas. John graduated from Indiana University in Gary, Indiana with his Bachelors in Art and the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with his MFA. He currently lives and works in New York, NY. |

| My truest and strongest voice is in my artwork -- the pursuit of beauty. An affirmation of life, I know I am truly present and alive when I'm out on the land painting, playing this duet with nature and God. The wind in my face, bird-songs, frog-songs, flower-fragrances, wind-grass symphonies romancing and caressing me -- the essence of being aliveness. The exhilerating challenge is to keep up with the races and rhythms of the wind-changing grass-textures. The speeding cloud shadows on the land, the "Indy-500" sunsets collapsing into night; stealing, hoarding times of day, the colors, textures of seasons. This is what flows through my veins - these colors, textures, fragrances, rhythms -- this liquor of life. And afterward, like sex, feeling cleansed, purged, fulfilled, connected with the ultimate presence. I know, without the slightest doubt, I am fully and completely alive -- an unabashed and gluttonous gleaner and collector of beauty. Amen.

| Casey Ann Wasniewski |

|
 |
| BIOGRAPHY: |
| In 2005, Casey Ann Wasniewski received her Master's Degree from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She is an accomplished contemporary artist, concentrating mainly in a fiber medium. Her work is painstakingly detailed, paying special attention to texture and color. The artist uses horsehair and yards and yards of wool yarn, which she hand-dyes, and later, meticulously hand-embroiders using the highly three-dimensional "French Knot" stitch. The knots are then skillfully manipulated and hand-sewn into abstract and organic-like structures. Like the layers of cells comprising the organs in our bodies, such is each piece a massive conglomeration of "French Knot" stitches. This accumulation of knots creates density and overall form of the pieces. Horsehair creates a decidedly dirty and fleshy quality. Ms. Wasniewski's sculptures have shown around the country, including Pennsylvania, Florida, New Mexico.

| Life and growth are uniquely intertwined. Growth lies on a never-ending continuum of fluctuation. My installation work allows me to convey a transient message reflecting elements of life and cohabitation. I work in an informed and intuitive manner, as I experience time, space and environment. Through investigation of perception, habitats and coexistence, I am able to create an existence outside of this world.
I believe that the process of art making is more important than the product or outcome. It is also my firm belief that art making has the potential, through aesthetic experience and imagination, to lie at the root of well being |

At 16 I took an interest in sculpting the human form using modeling clay. Through the next 10 years I became distracted by things like getting an education and finding a normal career. But now, finding my passion again. Sculpting the body perfect when it's in top form, physically, mentally, spiritually. An almost superhuman form. that is what I have found. |

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Darryn's artworks are already being collected internationally and locally, indicating the investment potential of his art. Born in Kelowna, British Columbia in 1971, Darryn demonstrated his talent at an early age. A class project, a tissue paper model of Niagara Falls, was exhibited at the London Regional Gallery. Darryn has studied painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture at the Beal High School, and Graduated in Fine Art from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. "Art is something that's always been a part of my daily life. I love experimenting with all mediums: painting, video art, sketching, photography and mixed media." From landscapes to portraits, his style swings from abstract to surrealism. "My works are very detailed, and active. They often contain human like images or alien cartoon characters. Art is a world of the imagination. It allows me to create extensively and completely from my mind and soul." His work has been featured at - The Coffee Grind, The Ruth Anderson Gallery, The Stratford Gallery, and at the 99 King Street Cafe, in London. His design was chosen for the Double Decker Bus Tours Logo for the Stratford Festival Theatre. Darryn James Rae is a talented young Canadian whose portfolio is eclectic, and extensive. While his talents are foremost in the fine arts, Darryn also works as a musician, and cinematographer. "The ideas for my artwork are improvised random images from my subconscious. My style is post modernistic, abstract and surreal with an approach of the Cobra movement - the belief in freedom from the constraints of reason, producing images entirely from the subconscious. Each of my works tells a different story according to the individual who views that piece." |

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| I am now 36 years old and have returned to my first love: painting and drawing. I started drawing as a kid. In high school, I always chose fine arts over two other equally enticing subjects: music and German. In recent years, I have mostly been interested in nude models because I find the human body very beautiful with the modulation of light and shadow on its musculature. My nudes are sculptural, sensual and somewhat poetic. I have yet to put them on this site (to come). For now, you will find my most recent output. I have left nudes behind and have been venturing into new territory to explore abstract painting, a completely different subject matter and medium. It is very exciting to go outside one's comfort zone. All the paintings you see in the abstract gallery were done within the context of an art workshop given at my local comunity art center. Nevertheless, I am mostly self-taught, but did a minor in Art History in university. Many of these pieces were inspired by music. In fact, I often use music as a gateway to my imagination and then start painting spontaneously, not knowing how the piece will turn out. I welcome any of your comments. Best, Bev Amanlee |

Fraser's recent solo exhibit- Reverse Transcriptase- at the Hyde Park Art Center (Loope Gallery, Chicago). Was a great success. The exhibit caused a stir in the Chicago scene. The exhibit included his largest drawings to date. The title refers to an enzyme, most commonly used by retroviruses such as HIV.

Three pieces were accepted into the "Metro 26" traveling show in Newark, one of which won Honorable Mention, and the New York Times devoted a paragraph to the piece. Two pieces were among the 200 out of a total of 5,000 submitted to the highly competitive Small Works show at NYU. I recently exhibited in “Paradise Lost” at the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center in Brooklyn and last year's “Metro 25." Both shows were also praised by The New York Times. Other recent exhibitions include “Snap to Grid” at the LA Center for Digital Art and “Is it possible to make a photograph of New Jersey regardless of where you are in the world?” at the Pierro Gallery, a show which was reviewed in USA Today. The work in the show was acquired by the permanent collection of the Newark Public Library.

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Born in Charleroi, Belgium, Chantal Bietlot approaches painting as self taught before attending, since 1988, the courses of differents painters who learn to master her technique and a new approach of this art.
She completes her education at the Academy of Art of Liege. From 1995, she starts learning musical painting and musical abstraction. It is a matter to transcribe on the canvas what is felt with the listening to the music.
The discovery of Kandinsky is a revelation. Colors and lines are at the heart of her work which tends towards a form of austerity.
Chantal Bietlot is a woman painter whose each work is closely related to a classical musical work. Inspired by the compositions as much as baroque than XXth century periods, she translates on the canvas sounds and movements by strokes and colors. She hears in the music an inner resonance and transcribes on the painting the universal correspondences between colors, sounds and emotions. By its immaterial essence, music gives to Bietlot access to her universe of dreams and feelings. She explores the space of the canvas as the composer analyzes and breaks up time, with complete freedom, without never losing the thread of sense of life.

| I was born at a very early age. My parent's were a lot bigger to me then. It's funny, they don't seem larger than life to me now, but there good people and I love them just the same. I've all ways been imaginative so needless to say, I have a lot of friends.
The three most important things I've learned from life go's as fallows:
1) Miracles come from tragedies
2) you are never ever alone (and no I don't mean the little voices in your head)
3) Love someone even if they don't love you back. Do that and you'll see why it's so important.
If there was a fourth it would be to find laughter .
If there is any thing else more important about me that any one should know. I'm sure some one will write it some day.

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| I fell down from the sky on to the Caribbean island of Curacao in November 1969 breathing on cold fire, water and wind.
Aged seventeen I went to Holland. In fact I cry stealing blood of the history. A child breaking his waves.
After Architectural drawing studies at Technology College, I started getting more and more into Furniture and Interior design.
I got a temporarily job in Museum Booymans-van Beuningen in Rotterdam, where I got inspired while working as a stand builder on exhibitions of many great artists like Cindy Sherman, Jorg Immerdorff ,the Impressionist painters and many more of their collection. Then in the fall of 1997,
I went to the art academy Gerrit Rietveld in Amsterdam.
In the summer of 1996, I went to visit the ex Yugoslavian countries after the war. That trip changed me extraordinarily. My work engage with these times on every level, as good as an abstract love story, a revenge or immensely moving exquisite warning colors stuck on the canvas.
One eye stare at you with a sharp and fatal light that hit me four years ago. On 6th of March 2004, I had an eye infarct and lost one eye.
I'm a human being and I kill ghosts. And I do that when I'm channeling a demon in a tape recorder. The truth is still the truth while I'm making art. The evidence is therefore limited. A lack of consensus, however a pattern emerge and the voice on the tape is death's ugliness- hopeful ,sleepy in bed. But the summer clouds burned off like the forest marriage and ended his diplomatic career.
I love diving and surfing since I was young. |

| NIC

| Everyone paints as a child, but I studied people painting. To me art was never fun until I did it alone and for myself. When you create for other people - for their walls or to meet their expectations - you lose your sense of self. I wanted to get lost in art. To look and feel things differently each time I looked. I didn't want to be a mechanical artist so I decided to make big messes. |

| German born Christopher Kaess was raised on Cape Cod where he discovered the visual arts at a young age. He has maintained his 9- year relationship with abstract/non-objective painting mainly as a canvas mirror, with the intention of bringing the inside out. The Cape Cod milieu has left an indelible mark upon Chris’ sensory perception as it relates to color and composition. Therefore he likes the challenge of creating unique paintings imbued with unusual and visceral characteristics. The paintings created are open for subjective interpretation.

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| Linda Eaton Marcille is an award winning poet, photographer and artist whose paintings on silk have been sold internationally. Linda creates her silk paintings using the highest quality steam set French dyes, the finest crepe de chine silk from China and a one of a kind resist made only in New Zealand. She has taken an ancient Asian art form and infused it with her own joyful and whimsical style.
Painting on silk is an incredibly time consuming and unforgiving medium, just one drop of misplaced dye or a smudged resist line and days of painstaking work are ruined. As challenging as painting on silk is however, it is also one of the most rewarding art forms because the two hour steaming process joins the fiber reactive dyes molecularly with the silk so the dyes take on the silks iridescent sheen. It is because of this union that silk paintings are able to produce an awe inspiring range of reflective color that no other medium is capable of creating.
Linda's work has appeared on WCAX channel 3 News and is often showcased in Vermont publications. Original painting's as well as giclee prints are available in galleries throughout Vermont or by contacting the artist. |

| BIOGRAPHY: |
| An artist both visually and musically, Demostina has a deep affinity for color and texture. She explores her themes through the use of mixed media and often incorporates amorphous characters into her work. Her enigmatic series The Female Factor examines and celebrates the complex nature of the feminine both physically and spiritually. This multi-talented soul takes your hands, eyes, and ears: and walks you through the halls of music, the vicious cycle of the human condition, the mystery of the feminine and the metaphysical – reminding us that we are continuously evolving as entities of this universe.
For Dominican born and New York City raised visionary Demostina, the world is her canvas and the universe her palette. Driven by music, human interaction, and the metaphysical nature of the feminine, Demostina has been concocting pieces all over New York City. One of the few pioneers of live painting in New York City’s music scene, Demostina has created large paintings on canvas at some of the city’s most respected music venues such as the Bowery Poetry Club and The Knitting Factory. Demo as she is warmly referred to as by many, is a graduate from Parsons School of Design where she studied Illustration and later attended New York University where she received an M.A. in Art Education. Her artwork has been exhibited in various art shows throughout the country including Women Made Gallery in Chicago and has been featured in FOAM Magazine. Demostina was crowned 2008 Femme Fatale Art Battle Champion in a friendly competition with 7 other New York City top female artists. In 2009, Demostina was amongst 26 artists selected to participate in the buzzing public installation Art Bridge: First Exposure right in the heart of New York City's Chelsea art district. |

Sabrina Tilikevich was born in the Ukraine and came to Brooklyn NY when she was barely a year old. She comes from an artistic background, where both her grandfathers were artists. She has studied painting and modern art. Originally she felt she would go into graphic design but she realized early that she preferred to work with her hands. Her medium is acrylic and experimental media. She chooses to work with acrylic as opposed to oils because she works fast and she needs mediums that work with her. She has had many shows from 2004 to the present including venues ranging from NYC, across the U.S. and internationally.

| I went to school for illustration after aspiring to be a fine artist. I realized these terms mean very little (although many still hold stylistic prejudices). I started studying metaphysics, aesthetics, and philosophy of science while in school and continued to do so outside of school. Since school I have had various art jobs, but have been unable to build a steady career in the arts.
Currently I have the opportunity to work airbrushing motorcycles that I'm pursuing. |
