Escha Escha van den Bogerd
myartspace id:eschasgallery
BIOGRAPHY:
http://www.eschasgallery.exto.nl/ Escha van den Bogerd (21 september 1972) Escha van den Bogerd was born in The Hague, Holland where she attended the Rudolf Steiner school, a school with many art subjects including painting, drawing and art history. After leaving school Escha studied art in Florence, Italy, Salzburg, Austria and her home country Holland. Inspiration comes from many different things, the old masters Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Da Vinci etc. who created a beautiful sense of light. Movies set in olden times and places like Venice, Florence, and the Middle East. But inspiration can also come from people, experiences good or bad and simply just life itself can create new emotions on the canvas. Escha uses a method of painting in which abstraction and figurative images combine and reinforce each other's effect. Her work has delicate compositions and Colour palette of many of the Italian romance painters. The use of wash like technique adds drama and warmth, vibrancy and great emotional power with femininity and sensitivity A refreshing combination of traditional figurative painting in a contemporary style influenced by the many countries she has visited. She is an artist of exceptional intensity whose dynamic and poetic abstraction faces and figurative display profound sensitivity and a great emotional power. Vital in attack and detail and brilliant in colour her energetically composed acrylic paintings radiate an aura of spirituality, which suggests the Middle East and Italian influences, although their formal characteristics are wholly in the contemporary European tradition. Her first painting she sold in the town of Kitzbuehel in Austria where she lived and worked for 3 winters. Many years of travelling followed to places such as The Middle East, most of Asia, Europe, Australia New Zealand and US. In New Zealand she started exhibiting her paintings in galleries all over the country. Exhibitions followed in Japan, Europe and US. Today Van den Bogerd mainly sells and exhibits in Holland, The US and The UK. Recent projects include commission work such as portraits and nudes, and work for art publishers in Europe, as well as Murals for children and adults. Her Paintings have been sold to private collections in some of the following countries, Switzerland, Holland, UK, US, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Germany, Ireland and New Zealand. Eschas work has also been published by PGM Artworld and house in Holland, prints are available worldwide. Recent exhibitions where held in Switzerland and Holland. Painting for me is about sharing thoughts and emotions with others. Contact: eschasgallery@hotmail.com

BIOGRAPHY:
I'm 22, and pretty new to art, but I just kinda do what I can in my spare time. Been drawing for six years now. I think I'm addicted to art now. I started with anime, but now I am geared more toward realism. I have no artist friends, so I have to be my own worst critic, but times two. Lastly I hope to grow largely as an artist this year.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born Bronx NY, grew up in Philadelphia area, since 1967 living in Israel. Never formally studied painting in art school. In the 60's I was an "underground" filmmaker and made the well regarded: "Eargogh", starring Jack Smith as Vincent. Between 1970 and 1994 worked as film director, mainly for Israel TV, as well as creating videoart. My transition to painting came accidentally. Stills from my videos attracted a local gallery which deemed it worthy for an exhibition. I quickly learned to transfer their essential design to canvas using airbrush and other techniques. My paintings are exhibited in galleries & museums in Israel and USA.

Andy Blanchard
myartspace id:Dotmatrix
BIOGRAPHY:
"I see in Andy Blanchard's beautiful paintings a new consciousness of cells finding its way into imagery. I am clairvoyant; I have observed the exquisite dance of cells all my life. Andy captures both what I saw in the innocence of child vision and what I see now after doing a psychology doctorate which researched using cellular wisdom as guidance in self-healing. In psychology, we talk sometimes about accessing the stream of consciousness. Most people have images and can experience the stream of consciousness. What is new to humans is the stream of CELLULAR consciousness, although quantum physics has been researching it for the past thirty years. In subtle energy patterning, multi-dimensionally, cells are moving together in all directions, organized into an indescribably beautiful, body-like whole. Andy demonstrates artistically what can only be crudely observed with our still limited vision. Matter is dynamically alive in its cellular and atomic celebration. It is coming into and out of being all the time. Andy captures this ecstatic immanence in his art. It is incomparably and inarguably beautiful as an interrelationship of tiny biological, lightful units, dots, roundnesses, making sounds and faces, moving constantly, shining, connected, expressing the inexpressible, telling us about God without a hint of self-consciousness. He paints anima mundi. His vision somehow includes us, lets us in, brings us into the stream of cells and lets us participate for a magical moment. It opens the window of consciousness and makes us wider, privy to the inconceivable which is our very matter." Ariel Grace, DD PhD

BIOGRAPHY:
Although I've had a camera in my hands since I was 6 years old, I've been a professional photographer since I was 20 in 1989. I worked in newspaper for 13 years and learned that I'd rather have a job in the field of photography (such as lab work), but do the actual shooting for myself, because it's much more fulfilling. When you're constantly utilizing your art tools for someone else and not doing it artistically (ex: lots of grip-n-grin shots) it is easy to get burned out and just not want to even pick up a camera. It took me 5 years to get to the point where I have wanted to pick my camera up again and I'm so glad I have. It has opened the world back up to me. I've been working for the U.S. Senate Photographic Services since 2001, the official photographers, studio and production lab for the U.S. Senate. I am currently their Digital Asset Manager.

Manuela Valenti
myartspace id:mvstudio
BIOGRAPHY:
Manuela Valenti, is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist from Venezuela. Her Italian parents moved to Venezuela, place where she was born and raised. Throughout her almost entire life Valenti has been creating art in various forms, from glass, to painting and sculpting setting her as one of the most prolific and unconventional modern artists today. Selling online since 1999, Valenti has sold her original paintings to collectors on each state in the US, Hawaii, Canada, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Italy, France, New Zealand, Australia, Sweden and Japan among others. Valenti works in a variety of mediums, creating the impression to the viewer that there are more than one artist in her studio, while the reality is that she's the only creator of her vast array of works. She's not afraid to pick up a brush and let her hand, memories and emotions flow. "Many times I'm asked by gallery owners, collectors and other artists even at shows how many artists there are in my studio and they get surprised when they hear this is just the work of one artist, me, and more impressed they get when they hear I have no formal school or workshops in art." Valenti has exhibited on galleries and international shows in New York, High Point, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Michigan, Spain, Italy and Venezuela. Because of her vast array of works Valenti's works are collected by people from all walks of life, from the entrepreneur, to the corporate manager all the way to the house wife, architect, art dealer and interior designer. Due to the nature of her works she shares two completely separate groups of collectors, the ones that love her abstract art and the ones that love her landscapes and figurative works. Jax Chachitz
myartspace id:jaxbydesign
BIOGRAPHY:
Jacqueline (Jax) Chachitz Jacquie is “New York, born and raised”. In 1989 she graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration with an emphasis on Painting. Her degree gave her a rich classical foundation, conceptual framework, and the skills needed to give her own unique artistic vision and voice expression. Jacquie spent 1998- 2005 living in Germany, living in cultural centers Munich and Berlin. Experiencing the Uffizi, the Sistine Chapel, the Lenbach, the Van Gogh Museum, and countless works of the contemporary and classic masters throughout Europe was an inspiration. Traveling through the cultural landscape that produced such masters and living in the heart of what was once East Berlin proved pivotal in Jacquie’s own development. Her art shifted from the use of figurative form to that of abstract expressionism. Intense, bold, thought provoking, raw, complex, innocent - the paint speaks for itself, using its own language. The physical reality of Ms. Chachitz’s painting is about exploring the fundamental process of creating, returning to the act of creating with no preconceived notions. Manipulating the canvas, creating and destroying figures and forms, spontaneously flowing with and against all direction - color, texture, shape, and the gestural brush strokes of each motion bring context to chaos. Currently her work is bring featured in the 2007 edition of ArtWorld Digest.

BIOGRAPHY:
My name is JDC Roman, and I was born in the summer of 1969. I currently live in Eddyville, Oregon, nestled away in the woods with my wife and son, Akita puppy, and an Egyptian Mau cat. I have a large home studio, where I spend most of my time creating. Glass has chosen me to be her apprentice, and I have been her loving student. I have been blowing glass for a third of my life now, honing my skills with solid and hollow shapes. Over the years, I've learned many different techniques that add to my palette of creativity. One of them being what I call "the dance of the elements": Utilizing the way heat rises and gravity falls, combined with marvering and carving, adding and removing, hot and cold points, centrifugal force, fire polishing, and axis shifts. Some of these techniques need to be executed simultaneously in a 1-2 second margin. That makes for quite the dance to behold. You might find yourself dreaming about blowing glass if you watched it being done once or twice. It's completely mesmerizing how it forms from nothing into something. Second by second taking on different shapes, like evolution itself happening before your eyes. You really see the similarities between the shapes of nature, morphing from one into another with a flick of the wrist, like a magic wand. And to think, it all came from sand. Limitless are its creative potentials. I've dedicated my life to unlocking some of its mysteries, knowing that I certainly couldn't unlock all of them in several lifetimes. This may be unappealing to some, but for me it's absolutely intriguing. I am currently teaching One-on-One Classes in my home studio, and have taught at the Eugene Glass School, and have a class available in February at the Revere School of Glass. I am looking forward to expanding my online collection for your viewing and collecting pleasure. There are many different concepts and ideas I have for sculptural and functional art forms. Fusing organic forms with abstract is my calling for the moment, so please check back with the site regularly to keep up with my progress. Please don't hesitate to Contact Me for any comments and/or questions you may have. Thank you for reading my bio.

I am an Outsider Artist. I have had no formal training and I have little regard for commercial success or acceptance. I just love to create/paint. My art does not really have a pattern. I am pretty much all over the place as far as subject matter and media. I just love to create but I am quirky about where and when I do it. I prefer to be left alone for HOURS upon HOURS, which is quite difficult with 2 children and a husband! When I am creating, I am selfish. I don't cook, clean or associate much with others. ~All for the love of art~
