The series of paintings and prints, Between, is an exploration of the interplay between limits, intent, and chance: meaning resides in the spaces between things.
In Between, grids and bands of color provide the structural layer. A dense, active web of calligraphic veins is laid upon this formal ground. The resulting confluence of solid color and line generates an energized visual field that, like poetry, translates emotion and thought into form.
