My paintings mirror my emotions and reveal the beauty of everyday life. They are reflections on the situations which give my life meaning.
I am interested in the surface quality of paint as a metaphor for flesh. I paint quickly, then take long pauses to allow myself to reflect on my work, a process that includes scraping, sanding and the re-applying of paint. I leave ghost like traces that become tangible evidence of the soul.
