I just moved from Denver, CO to Houston, TX. I got a great response to my work while in the Mile High City, but I'm looking to make a splash in Houston (big or small, it doesn't matter). But I also took on the job of being a starving college student as well. So I'm looking for a sponsor or a manager, this is a business proposition. If anyone is looking to make a good investment please contact me as soon as you can and we can further discuss what exactly I'm looking for in a sponsor and if you would be willing to help me out some.

I can't find the contact button for an admin when something is really funky on my profile page.

Here's the problem; I wanted to submit some images to the Aqua art Miami show... SO I created a gallery in my profile with some images and I attempted to upload and now I have HTML/Apache server errors and then attempting to delete duplicate images does nothing. Anyway, I uploaded images to my library, but I can't seem to upload to a gallery page.

Maybe somebody can push a button on the other side of my monitor to get this thing working again. I would appreciate the help.

Thanks.

If a call to artist is advertised by a municipal government body (a city) with specific requirements listed to enter shouldn't those specific requirements have to be met by the applicants to have his or her submissions considered by the panel?

Is it ok for the panel to disregard those advertised requirements?

For those of you who are interested in new material in the "Anime World", there is something new coming out that will leave you in awe.
"The God's Planet"®, created by author/creator Kevern Andrews, is a whole new story series that is in the process of creation as we speak. What's so unique about "The God's Planet"®? Well let's just say that "The God's Planet"® speaks out in all different levels that most people are afraid to speak out in. Kevern Andrews created this story when he was only 9 years old, and now at age 21, he is persuing his story even further, making it into a website (http://www.thegodsplanet.com) and in the near future into an animated series.
What is "The God's Planet"® about? It's about every topic that people are afraid to talk about, and too scared to write about. It's about modern day circumstances, but set in the medieval time period. "The God's Planet"® exposes the truth about human nature in it's worst form, by including religion, hypocracy, racism, injustice, and the evil of the human race.
To find out more about "The God's Planet"®, please visit the Main Website at: www.thegodsplanet.com
Don't forget to view "The God's Planet"® merchandise located at the "Merchandise" link on the website...and pass the word along to your friends!
"The God's Planet® Is Taking The Planet By Force!"™

If a user does wish to leave the myartspace community, this can be done fairly quickly and painlessly.

First, they can remove their membership, profile page, and all of their galleries and work -- images, videos, music. This is done as follows:

(1) Go to www.myartspace.com but be sure NOT to be logged in.
(2) If you are logged in, click "Log Out" in the upper-right corner of the home page.
(3) Also in the upper-right corner, you will see "Lost Password or User ID". Click on that.
(4) You will be taken to a page where you can DELETE your account. Click on that, and verify your ID and password.

Next, you may want to remove yourself from the MYARTSPACE email lists. The best way to do this is as follows:

(1) Go to www.myartspace.com/unsubscribe
(2) You will see three email lists -- Artists List, Registered User List and Weekly Featured List. Click on each one.
(3)Enter your email for each one to remove yourself from the list.

That's it. We do hate to see members leave the community, but everyone has different plans and designs for their career development and online presence. We hope to be a part in as many artists lives as possible.

Has a specific work of art touched your soul? Can you recall a specific work of art that helped your through a difficult time or defined a time of joy for you? I know that some people suggest that there is no longer room for the spiritual in the art of today-- do you agree? Or would you say that the spiritual aspects of art surround us just as they did in other periods of time? In your opinion, why does visual art have this power-- why do viewers establish these personal connections?

Most describe Andy Warhol to be the father of advertisement, he discovered Edie Sedgwick one of personal favorites people in general, and worked with Velvet Underground. It's to my understanding that his paintings were stolen form a home a few weeks back. Here is more information from the NYTimes.

"The valuable collection included 10 silk-screen paintings of famous sports figures, among them Muhammad Ali, Chris Evert, Jack Nicklaus and O. J. Simpson. According to investigators, the artwork was on display in the dining room of Richard Weisman, a businessman and art connoisseur whose well-known collection was featured in a book he published in 2003, “Picasso to Pop: The Richard Weisman Collection.”

The paintings are about 40 inches by 40 inches each, and were created between 1977 and 1979."

Opinions, or words on past Warhol work?

Introducing Chris aka Airplays, the latest artist to grace these pages. He’s also the first artist to have his work featured in our new look online shop, we think it’s amazing (his art!) so take a peek.

With a keen interest in youth subcultures as a teenager it was graffiti that first drew Chris into a world of art. Having spent time competing with a classmate to see who could sketch the best tags and pieces it was GCSE Art that introduced him to wider creative and artistic world.

[img]http://www.thefatclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/65.jpg[/img]

His inspiration and influences range from Delta the Dutch Master to M.C.Escher the, ah, Dutch master. The writings of Aldous Huxley & Hermann Hesse. Oodles of Graphic Design and plenty of Music, he presents the Act Now show every other Monday from 10pm-12am on brap.fm.

He is probably best known for his ‘Art School Wanks’ sticker, which has caused plenty of laughter but more amusingly made a few people recoil in disgust. Get yours at the Airplays Emporium. You can find these paintings and more for sale at our online shop now.

Claude Monet(http://www.allartpainting.com/claude-monet-m-202.html) painted The Luncheon, Monet’s Garden at Argenteuil in 1873. The Luncheon presents the comfortable informality of Monet’s life in Argenteuil during the months of high summer. With the meal concluded, Camillehis wife, takes a visitor on a stroll through the garden while Jean plays with his blocks in the shadow cast by the table.Claude Monet’s The Luncheon, Monet’s Garden at Argenteuil (63-3/4×79-7/8 inches) is an oil on canvas
housed at the Musee d’Orsay in Paris.

Monet re-creates the most pleasant sensations of a sunny afternoon — the vivid flowers, the cool patches of shade, the breezy fabrics of summer gowns — with lightly applied dabs of color.

Hi All,
Does anyone know what gauge and type of wire I need for easier sculpting?
I am currently using garden wire purchased at garden centres/DIY stores but it's really tough on the fingers.
Have tried chicken wire but that too need gloves and I can't then feel what I'm doing.

Or can they be considered art? I've read a few interesting articles about the subject. Included one at the bottom. Due to the advances in video games-- the fact that a video game can involve a massive world full of details-- can a video game created for recreation be considered a work of art or at least be viewed in a similar manner as art involving technology? Seems to be a lot of debate about this topic in gaming communities. Due to how involved games like Fallout 3 and the Grand Theft Auto series are I would think it could at least be considered. Your thoughts?
