Halloween
This is a celebration I never knew about in England, however, our children were sent to the American School in São Paulo, Brazil and it was there I learnt about the dressing up and trick a treating for the children. I organized the trick a treating for my children and their friends within the vicinity while living in São Paulo. This painting represents my impressions about Halloween.

This collage addresses abortion, which is a very easy process in today?s world, it questions the necessity of a happy couple thinking about such a drastic action and reminds us of the life of a wonderful little person who we can bring up and educate to be an important part of our society. This is not addressed to those who have no food, have been raped or any other such violent and horrendous situations. The materials used in this piece are all involved in nurturing and keeping a child warm and safe.

Once again I have used student’s school work for my painting. I glued buttons underneath the key board I made in order for the keys to protrude somewhat. In today's world the computer is imperative for all young people and I encourage them to learn all about it.

Education - Learning languages
In this piece, I once again used student's school work, plus wrote sayings on paper and translated them into different languages. I used circles to give one the idea of speech. It is a tremendous asset to speak several languages and I willingly promote the suggestion that young people see how useful it is. The more languages we can understand, the more about people and their lives we can understand

Learning to Appreciate Literature
This is a 4 panel painting on which I had a wonderful time collecting pieces of literature and writing them on rice paper then gluing them onto my painting. I included feathers because they were, I believe, our original tool used for writing. My aim is to encourage the young to read, just by looking at the literature on my painting it can interest all ages.

Learning to Share
This is another painting where I have painted the background and then glued children's toys onto the canvas. I liked the idea of a round canvas, giving one the impression of sharing. I believe that we have to teach our children about sharing at a very young age; it is not an easy lesson to learn.
