This self portrait was taken with Sebastião Salgado?s book Workers with the following explanation:
?Today I am once again addressing the arts, this time photography with my favorite photographer
Sebastião Salgado, the Brazilian photographer who likes to photograph visual archaeology of a time that history Sebastião knows as the Industrial Revolution, a time when men and women at work with their hands proved the central axis of the world. In his book he portrays how the planet remains divided, the first world in a crisis of excess, the third world in a crisis of need, and, at the end of the century, the second world _that built on socialism_in ruins. To me, Sebastião Salgado has achieved the most incredibly true photographs of the opposed, who work for almost nothing to let the richer society just get richer.
I have tried to photograph some of the photos from his book and I hope that these whet your appetite to want to see more of his excellent work which is all black and white photography. Enjoy.?
and entered it into the Hero?s Theme.
