Underwater Self-Portraits
This series is loosely inspired by the character Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet. These images were not digitally manipulated in Photoshop. The underwater effect was created in-camera through the use of various props and the layering of surfaces. The intention was to create a set of images that could evoke a sense of melancholy and death or of beauty and peace, depending on the approach of the viewer.
