| Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1979, Jessica Wohl was raised by her mother, father, step-mother, step-father, step-brother, step-sister and half brother. Life was a whirlwind of back and forth, here and there, filled with two of everything that most little girls only had one of. Her unique upbringing made her a perfect candidate for art school. Graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2001, Wohl bounced from city to city working numerous jobs simultaneously until she landed in Athens, Georgia where she is currently pursuing her MFA in drawing and painting at University of Geogia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art. Now instead of living with her family, she makes work about them. |
