I have found that being female in the United States is not only demanding but full of stresses that men could never bear. One of which is the physical requirements for being 'attractive'. Repressive sexuality in the U.S., and the pressure to perform up to the standards lorded upon us by fashion magazines and the media, has created an environment that is isolationist and negative.
In 2008 I am deconstructing/reconstructing my world and my life, moving in new directions in my work and moving toward a goal of self discovery, renewal and respect. You will see changes in technique and subject.
I will always be a student of observation and a tireless seeker of personal perfection.
