My newest work, including the installation entitled Moo Goes The Cow, deals with collecting and appropriating imagery to explore my past and address broader, historically embedded issues surrounding the roles and stereotypes of the “American” woman. This work deconstructs conventional imagery and questions the complicated ideals that delineate public and private boundaries.

Marilee Salvator received her BFA (honors) in printmaking from Illinois State University, Normal, IL in 2000 and her MFA degree in printmaking from University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM in 2004.
After graduation she moved to Winnipeg, MB where she taught as a visiting assistant professor at University of Manitoba for two years.
