| | 1. How to apply for consideration | |

- Become a MYARTSPACE.com member
- Create a gallery of work specific to submit for the NYAXE Gallery competition (we recommend 5 images).
- Complete the online application form and submit your gallery with fee of $25 for all remaining shows
- Deadline for submission Thursday, October 4th, 2009 to be considered for our Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 Show

| | 2. Overview | |

- There will be a total of 2 group shows remaining at the NYAXE Gallery, 818 Emerson Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301.
- Shows will feature a minimum of 3 MYARTSPACE artists that have applied for consideration for representation
- Those that submit work early are considered for all remaining shows.
- Group Show to be sponsored by CatMacArt Corporation, owner of MYARTSPACE.
- Each group show will run between 6 and 12 weeks

3. Exhibition dates |

There will be a total of 4 group shows in 2009. Current Show dates are planned as:

4. Selection of artists to be represented |
|
| |
Work Selected by MYARTSPACE Jury. Work submitted must be available to show. If work is not available, or not capable of being shipped, alternate selections must be accepted by the jury. |

5. Guidelines for application |
|
| |

Applicants must be a member of, and submit work through myartspace.com. Membership to myartspace is free.

Deadline for submission is a rolling submission. The following table shows the online deadlines for applications to be considered:

We recommend at least 5 images. Our upload is unlimited*. Max file size 10MB Standard Members, 75MB Premium Members (HiRes TIFF or Uncompressed JPEG Recommended)

We create a separate low res image for screen display and the high res is stored for the jury process and potential print only.

Each image must be titles, dated, and include medium and dimensions.

A brief statement about each image is advisable.

Gallery images may be change up to the final deadline.

6. Application fee |
|
| |
- Sign up now for premium and get a free NYAXE Gallery application of $25.
- The application fee for all remaining shows is $25 for MYARTSPACE members with a Standard Membership.
- Premium Members register for free. Trial or complimentary Premium memberships do not qualify for free registration.
- Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Those who apply early are considered for all remaining shows throughout the year.
- Your gallery for submission must be attached to your registration before the final deadline.
- Galleries can be attached at the time of registration or anytime after you register until on or before the final deadline.
- Images may be edited in your submitted gallery at any time before the final deadline.
- The application fee is non-refundable.
- All payments must be in USD by Paypal or credit/debt card. Daily conversion rates apply to international transactions.

7. Rolling admissions and considerations |
|
| |
- A rolling admissions process is used for all four exibitions when jurying the art.
- There are 4 exhibitions dates for NYAXE Gallery 2009, see deadlines above.
- All previously submitted work will have an on going automatic registration towards all future shows.
- An application, if received before October 4th, 2009, will also be eligible for consideration for the December 10th, 2009 exhibition.

8. Submission deadlines |
|
| |
All pieces must be submitted on the final deadline by 12:00pm, PST on the corresponding deadline dates above. Registered entrants can revise their gallery submission up until the deadline of the show they are submitting work for.

9. Jurors |
|
| |
The jury evaluating work will be members of the internal staff at CatMacArt Corporation. CatMacArt Corporation, however, reserves the right to also employ outside jurors for additional perspective and opinion.

10. Judgement considerations |
|
| |
All traditional and contemporary styles will be considered accross all geners.The art must be readily available for a 3-month exhibit and must be transported in a reasonable time and cost budget.

11. Notification process |
|
| |
Winners will be notified a rolling basis based on the planned group shows. Generally, the submission deadline for the next upcoming show will be four weeks in advance of the show date.Artists to be represented will be notified about least one week prior to the show. No substitutions will be permitted without consent and approval by CatMacArt Corporation.

12. Terms & Conditions (the small print) |
|
| |
- Artists retain all ownership rights to their submitted images. However, MYARTSPACE reserves the right to use the images of all applicants for promotional purposes involving the website or competition for up to 2 years. CatMacArt and MYARTSPACE are not liable for breaches of copyright by the entrants.
- CatMacArt Corporation will pay a total of up to $350 within the Domestic US and up to $500 Internationally, to transport art from the artist to NYAXE Gallery and back. Artist are responsible for insurance on all transportation.
Artist will be responsible for arrangeing carrier and shipment dates. CatMacArt will coordinate payment at time of shipment.
The confirmation of the shipping carrier will be at the discretion of CatMacArt Corporation.
- Works exhibited must be available for sale. CatMacArt Corporation will assist in accurate pricing of your art. The commission for art sales will be from the retail price: 50% artist, 50% CatMacArt Corporation. Payment from sales will be issued within 3 weeks of sale.
- CatMacArt Corporation maintains an online store called the NewYork Art Exchange, (www.nyaxe.com).
CatMacArt Corporation has the right to list and sell all submitted work of winning artists and finalist through the physical gallery and online store.
All sales of original work represented by NYAXE Gallery through NYAXE.com will be at 50% commission.
- CatMacArt Corporation has the right to create reproducible prints of work submitted and have available for sale both online and in the physical Gallery. Prices for the reproduced work will be determined by CatMacArt Corporation and in-line with market prices for similar art. The commission for reproduction art sales will be from the retail price: 50% artist, 50% CatMacArt Corporation.
- CatMacArt Corporation will unpack and repack work in original packing, although the utmost care will be taken during this time. CatMacArt Corporation is not responsible for any damage to your work or portfolio. Artists are responsible for insuring their work through the duration of the shipping and exhibition period.
- CatMacArt Corporation reserves the right to hang and display art at our own discretion.
- Winners will have up to 24 hours to confirm their participation in the exhibition and 3 days to coordinate with the shipping company approved by CatMacArt Corporation to get their work to the exhibition location.
- International artists are responsible for all customs duties and customs fees regarding shipping and handling of your art work to and from the exhibition location. It should be noted that shipping from overseas to the United States may exceed the $500 allocation provided by CatMacArt Corporation. Charges in excess of the allocation are to be paid by the artists.
Rule Changes:
CatMacArt Corporation is the owner of online social network "MYARTSPACE" and its affiliates including the New York Art Exchange ("nyaxe.com"). CatMacArt Corporation reserves the right to modify the contest rules at any time. Contestants should read these rules carefully and revisit the terms and guidelines page as MYARTSPACE continues its growth. Any modifications go into effect the day they are posted and apply to all persons registered for the competition.
