Having lived in Beirut during the war, my work largely revolves around the subject and imagery of war, some of it related to ongoing events, and some of it remembered. Finding beauty in this personal chaos has been a surprising aspect of the process.

| Reem Bassous grew up in Athens, Greece, and Beirut, Lebanon. She currently lives and works in Honolulu, Hawaii where she also is a lecturer at the University of Hawaii. |
