Quick Description: 20 images of my work for your consideration.
Detailed Description:

"Somewhere, Underwear Rainbow"
I created this costume in order to make images in my "Rainbow" series. The entire costume is made from commercially-available underwear. Just as a rainbow reveals the individual hues of the visible spectrum, this project reveals the singular aspect of my clothing that I always keep from view. Once in view, it is enhanced and extended with light and duration to create an imitation rainbow - a gift both glorious and specious.
Dimensions: Variable; Medium: Men's Underwear

Just as a rainbow reveals the individual hues of the visible spectrum, this project reveals that aspect of my clothing that I usually keep from view. Leaf-Face I
This ongoing series employs worm-holed leaves to create a temporary monster mask. The scale joke of the leaf-at-human-scale resonates with the playful fantasy of subject as monster.
Dimensions: 4" x 6"; Medium: Chromogenic Print

TysonBytes II
This image was made by biting the hand with one of the four dental prosthetics I made using Rapid Prototyping Technology. Together, the prosthetics complete a Mike Tyson quotation (in reversed, raised type) across their lingual face - "...the title is like a woman, it's like love. It doesn't care for anything around it but itself. It doesn't care who possesses it, it still receives whatever. It receives the same when I possess it, when he possesses it. ... It's like a woman: '(Expletive) you, I'm so beautiful I can get the next man with more money, with a better body.'"
Dimensions: 18" x 24"; Medium: Chromogenic Print

Autoexposure II
These two images were made late at night in my studio using disposable cameras, a tripod, a mirror, firecrackers and glue. To make each image, I placed a camera in front of a mirror, glued a firecracker to the shutter release and ignited the firecracker before stepping out of the way. The result is an authorless self-portrait of the camera at the moment of its demise, and of the firecracker at the moment of its single glory.
Dimensions: 9" x 12"; Medium: Black and White Photograph

Juice Newton's New Tones
In this performance, I gathered a truckload of plastic thrift-store objects and shredded them in the gallery space using a woodchipper. I then spent a week hand-sorting the chips back into chromogenic piles - red, orange, yellow, and so on - with the help of fifteen assistants. Once the chips were sorted, I lay on the floor, and directed my assistants to pour the chips over the length of my body as I flapped my arms and legs to create a "snow-angel" on the gallery floor.

Refraction's Relections
This photograph documents my found-ball collection arranged by color. Colors may be described as the refraction of "full-spectrum" visible light. In this image, the colored balls appear to be reflected via the use of a previously recorded photograph spread across the table, under the actual colored balls. The end result is an image embedded in another image, offering both a truth and an untruth about how we see what we see.
