| Global Misuse Offsets Coin Funnel |
| The coin funnel speaks specifically to my ambivalent feelings toward the booming practice and business of buying and selling carbon offsets, which I refer to in my project as Global Misuse Offsets. My funnel operates on a honor system of self recognized guilt, not indictments, betting on the strong likelihood that more than a handful of us will forget to turn off the lights or worse. To take the words of Friar John Tetzel, "As soon as a coin from the coffer sings, a soul from purgatory springs." |

| GInspired Individual on the Platform of Success |
| a 12 x 12 x 5 inch wood, cast resin figurine, depicting a small man standing atop a platform (partial pyramid) of success.
b This small man looks forward with his chin held high, hand on his hip, and his eyes set on the horizon. He is satisfied with his
achievements but feels he can do more both for his personal benefit and for the benefit of those around him.
c The small man understands that much can be accomplished with the help of other like-minded people.
d Detail (d) shows the small man with his hand on his chin contemplating the future and what possibilities it may hold. |

| The Great Pessimist |
| A work referencing Thomas Malthus, the English political economist and demographer of the late 18th and early 19th century, whose major contribution was the Malthusian Growth Model. This model pointed out the incongruency between the geometric rate (1,2,4,8,16) of population growth versus the arithmetic rate (1,2,3,4,5) of food supply growth. He is often lovingly refer to as "The Great Pessimist." |
