The human presence lingers in the absence of the figure and nature always dwells around the edges. It is the relationships between things that are built and things that grow that intrigue me. My work explores these connections through a variety of media. It is the porous border region where my work resides.

| BIOGRAPHY |
 |
 |
Scott Silvey was born and raised in the fields and woodland of central Indiana. After receiving a degree in psychology from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, he went on to earn a M.F.A. in sculpture from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He has presented his work in both group and solo exhibitions across the United States and abroad. He has also earned multiple honors and awards as well as having had his work featured in magazines such as Sculpture, Art Papers, and Antennae. Scott currently resides in Tokyo, Japan.
