myartspace>tutorials -- URL LINKS and EMBEDDED OBJECTS (lesson 2) |
|
myartspace 1.0 provides much more poweful ways
from which you can create your galleries of work, store them on the
myartspace server but show them from your own web pages, from myspace or
by ways of links. There are two ways in which you can access your myartspace galleries -- as a URL link or an embedded object. This tutorial will show you how you can create both. First, bring up the gallery you wish to link/embed. Towards the lower-right corner you will find see two pink folders that overlap. As you run your mouse tip over the top, it will say "copy URL or Embed Code". See the circled area in the picture directly below here. Click on that and a dialog box will appear as you see directly below. You can select the URL or embedded option to copy to your clipboard. This tutorial will take you through both. |
|
The URL LINK The URL link is a very long, complicated pathname that your browser can interpret to figure a way to get back to the gallery you are looking at. It can be used, for instance, in an email to direct people to one of your galleries. Below is a URL link. Click on it to see what happens. Click the BACK button on your browser to get back to this tutorial. This is the link to the gallery! |
The EMBEDDED GALLERY Another alternative is to "embed" the gallery as an object in your HTML code. This is very similar to including a YouTube video in your myspace home page. Below you will see the embedded object. Click on it to "activate it" directly in place. |
