According to Seren "Topical events and ideas have always interested to me. The social climate of the world that we live in has great influence on our daily lives, whether it is something going on in our backyard, or halfway around the globe. Generally, our interaction with politics is through media outlets, or our wallets. It is this relationship that inspires most of my work; social and political issues presented through commercial media and production. ". |

Seismic cracks in the art world "Doris Salcedo's crack, which snakes along the floor of the Turbine Hall, will be remembered alongside Damien Hirst's diamond skull as one of the most important works of art of the first decade of the 21st century - but not for reasons that the art world will be proud of..." The Evening Standard 11/15/07 Koons's Pink `Heart' Sells for Record $23.6 Million "Jeff Koons's 3,500-pound, hot-pink, stainless-steel ``Hanging Heart (Magenta/Gold)'' sold for $23.6 million tonight at Sotheby's in New York, a record for Koons that established him as the priciest living artist at auction... " Bloomberg 11/17/07 Spot the difference: one of these Michelangelos is said to be fake "They are among the most prized treasures held by the Royal Collection, the British Museum and the Ashmolean in Oxford.
