![]() Anthony W. Grigas |
![]() A study of anonymity |
Anthony notes "With traditional photography making its mark on today’s society, my photographs tend to take a step back, emphasizing historic processes. Through the use of cyanotype, a process which when exposed to sunlight, creates a Prussian blue image, I emphasize the basic elements of photography. In these images, elements often reveal, conceal, and contradict each other. In one instance, the subject matter may be exposing itself while simultaneously concealing itself within the same image. In another instance the actual material the image is printed on may be broken down, revealing the basic composition of the fabric." |

![]() Nicole Natri |

Nicole notes "Through diverse antique and semi-antique material (such as book covers, papers, photos etc; all vintage materials - no copies) I examine the history of dualism and double standards and our belief in the manmade Truth, often using the esthetics found in victorian and older engravings. Each piece adds a new dimension as the image strenuosly takes form and creates worlds of my own. The core in all my art work is a seriousness evolving through scrutinizing canonical, emotional, religious and psychological statements." She is 25 years old, autodidact artist and art history student born under starry skies in 1982. She is currently living and working in Ostergotland, Sweden. |
